It’s been more than two months that we welcomed our new Executive Director, Ms Meenu Chopra. Ms Meenu is from social development background with an experience of more than 15 years, joined FTF-I in the month of February, 2016.
Here is a welcome letter from President, Mr Mallikarjuna Iytha
The past year has been challenging yet a hopeful one, where the board and the NS made sincere efforts to reshape the forum according to the needs of the members. The EC has felt the need of a person to lead the forum and work for fund mobilization and strategic development of FTF-I. We have received few applications for the post of Executive Director, and after much deliberation, we are very happy to share that Ms. Meenu Chopra has joined as Executive Director of Fair Trade Forum-India on 15th Feb 2016.
Ms. Meenu Chopra, a scholarship holder from Delhi University completed her graduation in Physics from St. Stephen’s college and is a Reiki grandmaster. Meenu Chopra, can be aptly described as a dynamic and a goal driven personality striving for continuous improvement in all her professional endeavors. She enjoys a solid track record of 13+ years in the social sector with proven abilities in steering organizational growth through strategic partnerships across all sectors (corporates, media, Government bodies, educational Institutes, UN Bodies). She also has an Advanced Diploma in training and Development from American Tesol Institute and a Trainer certification on Entrepreneurship and Small Business Management from Udyogini.
Ms. Meenu made outstanding contributions in establishing innovative systems and processes, setting up operations from the level of scratch, developing high performance teams, improving performance and resource mobilization through seamless coordination and communications. A multifaceted personality with experience in business development, PR and communication, driving sustainable projects, end to end management of T&D initiatives and program management, primarily for Not-for-profit sector and voluntary organizations. She has actively networked with different NGOs working on diverse causes and has worked with Key organizations like Action Aid India, iCONGO, Ektara Foundation, WOTR, Population First, AVTEG and Skillshare International.
She has been on the GEPI panel of Symbiosis University for three years. She is the recipient of “Outstanding Woman Workforce & Social Worker Award”, conferred by NFED in 2015.
Her strengths include her exceptional communication and interpersonal skills which has helped her in achieving newer milestones in her career with proven abilities in developing teams and implementing best practices at work.
We would also like to take this opportunity to thank the Entire Executive committee, and our team (FTF-I) for their great support and for ensuring such a smooth and effective transition.
