Summer camp for the artisan’s children: Sadhna Handicrafts

Sadhna handicrafts organized one day summer camp for the artisan’s children on 16th June, 2016 at Udaipur. Children between age group 13-18 years participated in the camp.

One of the highlight of the camp was to guide and counsel the youth for the right career path. The youth was guided about the different work opportunities and career choices in this counseling session. Participants discussed and interacted with the counselors on various issues.

Sadhna organized games and other learning activities for the participants to make the session lively. Overall it was a successful camp which benefitted the artisan’s children and Sadhna plans to organize such sessions regularly.

Sadhna is a member of Fair Trade Forum India, based in Udaipur, Rajasthan working to support and benefit the women artisans in the clusters of Udaipur, currently supporting more than 800 women. Wide range of textile products can be purchased online as well as from their store in Udaipur. Sadhna regularly participate in various exhibitions all over India, you can get in touch with them anywhere throughout the year.

Their updated and new range of clothes and accessories can be seen in the upcoming Nature Bazaar exhibition organized by Dastakar from 06th to 15th August, 2016 at Manpho Convention Centre, Bangalore.
