Kadam Haat at Nature Bazaar, Bangalore

Kadam Haat participated in the Eleventh Edition of the Bangalore Nature Bazaar 2015 held at Dastkar from 07th August to 16th August, 2015 from 11:00 am to 08:00 pm, at Manpho Convention Ground. The exhibition helped in bringing together more than 100 craft groups from 20 states across India, which included small producers groups who showcased their products. In the exhibition a wide range of products of lifestyle accessories, striking jewellery and adornments, herbal beauty products, metal crafts, carved furniture, traditional paintings, a block printed textiles and much more were presented at one platform from every corner of the country. Products of Kadam Haat attracted a lot of attention from the buyers.

Lot of visitors visited the exhibition and appreciated the art. A good footfall was noticed which motivated all participants to enroll themselves in such exhibitions.

Sasha Fair Trade at Dastkar, Gali-e-Khas, Nature Bazaar

Sasha presented Kantha embroidered home furnishing, beautiful stoles, garments & trendy bags in ‘Gali-e-Khaas’ exhibition at Dastkar Nature Bazaar, Anderia Modh, Delhi from 04th July to 19th July, 2015.

Sasha at Crafts of Bengal

Sasha in association with Bangla Natak Kolkata presented ‘Crafts of Bengal’ from 10th to 16th August, 2015 at Sasha shop. Ethnic character handmade dolls from Natungram, Agradeep from Bardhaman were displayed in the exhibition. Craft demonstration on weaving by Sital Pati Weavers was also enjoyed by visitors on 12th and 13th August 2015.

Sasha at Dessert Crafts exhibition

Sasha being very active and exited to work for the artisans participated in Dessert Crafts exhibition in Dastakar, Nature Bazaar from 21st August to 31st August, 2105 in New Delhi. Sasha store provided a wide variety of products in their collection of handmade Sarees, beautiful stoles and trendy accessories.

Kilmora at Nature Bazaar

Kilmora’ brand, promoted by Kumaun Grameen Udyog has presented a very exciting range of their beautiful handmade products at Dastkar, Nature Bazaar from 19th to 30th November, 2015 at New Delhi.

Kilmora presented vibrant shawls, stoles & scarfs, garments, hand knitted goodies, culinary herbs, apricot oil and scrub, different kind of jams and a variety of chutneys.

Visitors enjoyed with plenty of food, folk dance performances, interesting craft demonstrations and arts & crafts from different parts of India.

Over 100+ craft groups, small producers & designers are showcased a wide range of hand-crafted lifestyle accessories, striking metal crafts, intricately carved decoratives, home furnishings, pottery, basketry, leather products, traditional paintings, an array of hand-woven textiles and much more from across India.

These products reflect not just the beauty of the art form but also the spirit and hardwork of the artisan who works day and night to create them.

Bringing together skills, crafts and craftspeople from around the nation, NATURE 2015 celebrated the richness and vitality of the earth, its products, colours and motifs. This year, the Horse has been the theme – Not only man’s friend but also a symbol of elegance and spirit. As an ancient proverb says– “Horses lend us the wings we lack. To ride a horse is to ride the sky.”

Kumaun Grameen Udyog was established as a Section 25 company by the Central Himalayan Rural Action Group (Chirag) in 1996. KGU contributes towards two major initiative of Chirag: a hospital in Sargakhet Village, a Primary School in Simayal Village with the aim of providing livelihood opportunities for the local community. KGU works with more than 200 artisans and sources from over 350 small farmers.

Sadhna-A Women’s Handicrafts Enterprise

Sadhna- A Women’s Handicrafts Enterprise, participated in the Nature Bazaar held at New Delhi from 19th to 30th November, 2015. Sadhna presented a very exciting range of products from women kurtis, stoles to shirt and kurtas for men, very beautiful bed covers, cushions, colourful table covers, handmade file folders, bags, and mesmerizing jewellery.

Nature Bazaar, is a joint initiative of DASTKAR, a leading Indian craft NGO, and Delhi Tourism which featured authentic crafts and craftspeople from all over India and the entire gamut of handmade, hand-woven, organic, herbal and recycled products. Skills and products range from wonderful handloom weaves, embroideries, and block prints to centuries-old traditions of bidri and dhokra metal craft or tribal Gond and Madhubani folk art. Garments, gifts, accessories and toys all come with the vibrant richness of India’s diverse handcraft traditions.

Sadhna A Women’s Handicraft Enterprise registered under the Mutual Benefit Trust Act, was started under the income generation programme of Seva Mandir (an NGO) in 1988, with the aim of providing an alternative means of livelihood to the women of rural, tribal and urban slum areas in southern Rajasthan. Sadhna is a member of Fair Trade Forum – India and WFTO also.
